“When do I need to service my Porsche?” Is a question you should be asking yourself whether you own a new or used Porsche model vehicle. The service schedule in this guide is aimed to provide a general schedule for most Porsche models. Always check with your service provider that you are on the correct service schedule for your vehicle specifically.
Several variables such as quality of fuel, quality of replacement fluids and parts, how you drive, what model vehicle you drive and where you drive can all impact your service schedule.
European Auto Repair specializes in Porsche auto services of all kinds. If you have any questions regarding service, please reach out. Contact us to set up your next service appointment.
General Porsche Maintenance Schedule
Porsche models (non-electric) work on a yearly/10,000 mile maintenance schedule. Standard service occurs every 10,000 miles. Intermediate service occurs every 20,000 miles (2 years). Major service occurs every 40,000 miles (4 years).
The service schedule continues at 50,000 miles with a “standard service” and so on every 10,000 miles (or annually) on the same service schedule as the first 40,000 miles (or 4 years).
- 1 Year or 10,000 Miles (Standard Service): Oil and oil filter change, tire rotation, multi-point safety inspection.
- 2 Year or 20,000 Miles (Intermediate Service): Oil and oil filter change, tire rotation and inspection (replace if necessary), cabin air filter replacement, brake component inspection (replace if necessary), multi-point safety inspection. Some models call for a brake fluid flush and fill.
- 3 Year or 30,000 Miles (Standard Service): Oil and oil filter change, tire rotation and inspection (replace if necessary), spark plug inspection (replace if necessary), multi-point safety inspection.
- 4 Year or 40,000 Miles (Major Service): Oil and oil filter change, tire rotation and inspection (replace if necessary), cabin air filter replacement, brake component inspection (replace if necessary), brake fluid flush and fill, transmission fluid change, coolant change, spark plug replacement, fuel filter replacement. Full check of belts, hoses, motor mount, suspension components, and exhaust system (replace any if necessary). Multi-point safety inspection.
This is a general maintenance plan. Higher end Porsche models will have specific service and maintenance plans. Please contact European Auto Repair, or your dealer, for the specific service and maintenance plan for your vehicle.
